Russian Orion unmanned aerial vehicles have already carried out more than 40 sorties in Syria, they have attacked terrorists, an informed source said.
Since 2019, Russia has used two unmanned aircraft from the Orion strike and reconnaissance complex in Syria at the same time, the source told RIA Novosti.
"Two vehicles have made more than 80 sorties in Syria all the time, more than 40 of them for the use of weapons against terrorist targets," he said.
According to the interlocutor, within the framework of one departure, the drone could strike several targets at once.
"The devices also conducted reconnaissance and illumination of ground targets for aviation and artillery," the source added.
The Orions carried guided missiles X-UAVs and corrected and guided bombs of caliber 20, 50 and 100 kilograms. Several times they used OFAB-100 with high accuracy.
