"We are even developing separate high-tech types of weapons together today," the president said at a press conference on Thursday.
"We work in space, we work in the field of aviation: both on airplanes and helicopters," Putin said.
According to him, the armies of the two countries conduct joint exercises, the Armed Forces conduct patrols at sea and in the air.
"This intense daily work benefits both the Chinese and Russian people," Putin said.
In October 2019, Putin announced that Russia was helping China to create a missile attack warning system (SPRN).
Russia is assisting China in the modeling of the SPRN, Sergei Boev, the general designer of the Russian SPRN, told Interfax in October 2019. "Interaction on the line of the SPRN modeling is carried out. We can't talk in more detail, because this is due to confidential agreements," said Boev, who is the CEO of the Russian corporation PJSC IAC Vimpel.
China is one of Russia's key partners in military-technical cooperation. In January 2019, the head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia Dmitry Shugaev announced that the order portfolio for the MTC with China is more than $ 7 billion. According to the head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, China accounts for more than 15% of the portfolio of Russian export orders in the field of military-technical cooperation.
It was officially reported that Russia has fulfilled a major contract for the supply of S-400 Triumph air defense systems to China (Almaz-Antey Concern JSC). Russia has supplied China with 24 Su-35 fighter jets (Sukhoi, UAC).
