In the Rostov region, training camps for snipers of the Southern Military District were held at the Kadamovsky training ground. The servicemen practiced new tactical techniques based on the experience of modern local conflicts.
According to the press service of the Southern Federal District, the complex of classes, which lasted about one month, consisted of a theoretical and practical part.
The theoretical part provides for a detailed study of the characteristics of weapons, including upgraded SVD rifles, and special equipment.
In the field, classes were held on masking and correcting fire, using observation and aiming devices, determining the distance to the target and firing at the maximum possible ranges in the dark and daylight.
"The actions of sniper groups are worked out in a complex so that they can work competently on the battlefield, timely and accurately perform the assigned combat tasks. Particular attention is paid to individual tactical elements, including firing from a Kalashnikov assault rifle and shooting from a partner. All actions are relevant in our time," said the instructor, company commander Mikhail Surkov.
The technique of "shooting with a partner" is used when there is no possibility of a stop for a rifle on the ground. Acting in pairs, one of the snipers helps to prepare, calculate the distance and hit the target.
"The result of the sniper's actions should always be the same - the shooter makes a well-aimed shot, the task is completed," Mikhail Surkov stressed.
