According to the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, automated control and communication systems are already being integrated into all management links.
MOSCOW, December 21. /tass/. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu demonstrated to Russian President Vladimir Putin the newest element of the ESU TK [Unified Tactical Management System], which helped Russian servicemen in Syria to direct strikes at targets. Footage of the inspection of the exhibition, which was organized as part of an expanded meeting of the board of the military department, was distributed by the Ruptly video agency.
"This is also an element of the ESU TK. He has all the controls here [on his wrist]. There is night vision, coordinates [targeting]. They were used very effectively in Syria for targeting," the Defense minister demonstrated the product to the president.
According to him, automated control and communication systems are already being integrated into all control units, up to an individual fighter. "We now have communication in all links," Shoigu said.
The main developer of the ESU TK is the concern "Constellation", which is part of the holding "Roselectronics" of the Rostec State Corporation. The unified control system allows each combat vehicle, unit, intelligence facility to transmit data on identified targets and other information to all other participants of the ESU TK, including to higher levels of management.
