MOSCOW, December 21. /tass/. Strategic command and staff exercises "Vostok" and "Thunder" are planned to be held next year, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Tuesday at an expanded meeting of the board of the military department.
"To prepare and conduct strategic command and staff exercises Vostok and Thunder," Shoigu said, outlining the prospects for 2022.
An expanded meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Defense was held on Tuesday with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The "Thunder" exercises are exercises of strategic nuclear forces. The Vostok exercises are part of the largest annual combined arms command and staff exercises.
