The chemical current source has a long service life - up to 2.7 thousand or more charge-discharge cycles, depending on the operating conditions, Rostec noted
MOSCOW, December 21. /tass/. Frost-resistant lithium-ion batteries for robots and military equipment were developed in the holding company "Roselectronics" of the Rostec State Corporation. This was reported on Tuesday in the press service of the state corporation.
"Roselectronics Holding of Rostec State Corporation has developed lithium-ion batteries that provide autonomous operation of devices at temperatures from 50 minutes to plus 50 degrees Celsius," the report says.
According to Rostec, the products are designed for telecommunications, medicine, robotics, the oil and gas sector, aviation, various weapons and military equipment. "The products are distinguished by a unique electrochemical formulation that guarantees operation even in extremely low temperatures," the state corporation reported.
As noted in Rostec, a chemical current source weighing no more than 150 grams has a long service life - up to 2.7 thousand or more charge-discharge cycles, depending on operating conditions.
"Batteries can also be produced in a radiation-resistant version for use in space," the press service noted.
