The head of NASA Nelson positively assessed the upcoming meeting with the head of Roscosmos Rogozin
The head of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Bill Nelson, appreciated the upcoming meeting with the Director General of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, which is to be held in Moscow. This is reported by TASS with reference to the head of the American ISS program Joel Montalbano.
According to the representative of the department, the trip to the Russian capital will take place as soon as it becomes safe to travel.
"As for future plans, I can't name any exact dates, but they want to hold a face-to-face meeting. They both spoke very positively about her. I hope that as soon as the trips become safe, this will happen," he stressed.
On November 25, Nelson told SpaceNews in an interview about his plans to visit Russia and meet with Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin.
Earlier, Nelson and Rogozin discussed crew safety issues on the International Space Station (ISS). NASA continues negotiations with Roscosmos both on the long-term future of the station and on the nearest agreement on the exchange of seats for the crew of the Soyuz spacecraft and the commercial crew, the head of NASA noted.
