TSAMTO, December 20. The second crew of the Indian company Sky One Airways LTD has started retraining under an additional professional training program for a new type of Mi-171A2 helicopter at the U-UAZ training center of the Russian Helicopters holding Rostec Group.
The program for Indian pilots involves theoretical training, as well as simulator and flight training on the Mi-171A2 helicopter. Earlier, at the beginning of 2021, specialists of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of India conducted a preliminary inspection of the training center with a view to its subsequent validation.
"During the training of flight personnel, special attention is paid to the order and rules of operation of the helicopter cabin equipment and its systems, the peculiarities of piloting techniques, aerodynamics and dynamics of helicopter flight," said Nikolay Kolesov, General Director of the Russian Helicopters Holding.
Theoretical training is 170 hours. As part of the simulator training, the aircraft commander and the co-pilot of the Indian company Sky One Airways LTD will spend 12 hours in the cockpit of the Mi-171A2 helicopter. Training flights will take more than 9 hours for each pilot.
Foreign experts are studying the aerodynamics of the Mi-171A2, the design and technical operation of the helicopter, its aviation and electronic equipment, as well as the VK-2500PS-03 engine with a digital control system and an auxiliary power plant. During the training process, the management of crew cabin resources, aviation communications and radiotelephony are also studied.
In addition, the training program includes actions in non-standard and emergency situations, as well as preparation for flights with the withdrawal of the helicopter from a difficult spatial position. At the end of the training, the crew members of Sky One Airways LTD will receive certificates confirming the completion of the course.
