China and Indonesia are planning to purchase Russian multipurpose super-maneuverable Su-35 fighters for their air forces.
This was reported by the American magazine The National Interest (TNI) with reference to its sources.
"According to reports, Indonesia has decided to purchase Su-35 aircraft. In addition, we are aware that the Chinese are discussing the issue of its possible acquisition," the newspaper notes.
As the article emphasizes, the Su-35 is "a dangerous combat vehicle, and in many respects the Russian aircraft is not inferior to the latest modifications of the widely exported American F-15 fighter or even surpasses them."
The Russian fighter with its modifications is considered by the Americans as a competitor to the F-15.
"There is a high probability that the F-15 may collide with the Su-35, which is in service with some despot ruler from the third world. However, the pilots of such a despot are unlikely to have the training, tactics and experience necessary to fight against American pilots, and therefore they will not have a real chance of winning," the publication quotes Eadaily.
