Russian missile systems "Pantsir-S1" destroyed more than 40 Turkish drones
During the military conflict in Syria and Libya, Russian Pantsir-S1 missile systems destroyed more than 40 Turkish Anka and Bayraktar attack drones. This number was announced by the head of the Department for the construction and development of the system for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia Alexander Novikov on the program "Vesti Nedelya" on the TV channel "Russia 1".
According to him, the Russian air defense system fully controls the flights of Turkish drones. "We can track them, starting from the flyby and ending with the landing," he said. Now in the Idlib area, soldiers are observing three Bayraktar UAVs.
Earlier in December, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov declared the superiority of domestic drones over Turkish ones. According to him, Russia may interest foreign buyers with its drones. "The last exhibition in Dubai, where we have already presented our samples, will open another market niche, and Russia can join the club of countries exporting these types of weapons," he said.
