Dubai. December 16. INTERFAX - Syrian air defense systems repelled an Israeli missile strike aimed at the southern regions of the country, one soldier was killed, the state news agency SANA reported, citing a military source.
"At about 00:50, the Israeli enemy carried out an air raid with several missiles in the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan and targeted several positions in the south," SANA quoted the source as saying.
According to him, the Syrian air defense systems managed to "shoot down most of the missiles."
At the same time, the interlocutor of the agency noted, "aggression led to the death of a soldier and material damage."
