The capacity of the site in the Skolkovo Technopark is about 30 sets of spacecraft per year
MOSCOW, December 16. /tass/. The first site of serial assembly of satellite platforms of small spacecraft in the Russian Federation was launched by Sputnix in the Skolkovo Technopark. This was reported to TASS by the press service of Sitronics Group (part of AFK Sistema), which includes the company.
"Serial assembly of OrbiCraft-Pro CubeSat platforms of its own design with sizes from 1U to 12U weighing from one to 24 kg will be carried out at the production site," the press service noted.
The serial assembly site is divided into several zones, each of which has a certain air purity depending on the tasks. At the moment, the process of assembling and testing satellites is underway there, the launch of which is expected next year.
"Previously, the company carried out piece assembly of satellite platforms. The capacity of the new section is about 30 sets of spacecraft per year, which ensures the implementation of existing and concluded contracts by the company for 2022-2024," the group stressed.
According to Nikolay Pozhidaev, President of Sitronics Group, it is planned to expand the production of CubeSat format satellites in the future, which will allow plans to launch small satellites for the development of various services based on their data, including for the operation of automatic identification systems in shipping, monitoring and transmission of telemetry, remote sensing of the Earth.
Earlier it was reported that Sitronics Group together with its member company Sputnix will create a single "store" for the sale of space services and data. It will load data from any commercially available satellite systems, including its own devices.
