TSAMTO, December 15. The Danish Navy plans to purchase a new type of patrol ships that meet prospective requirements, which will also replace existing refueling vessels.
As reported by Euro-SD.com With reference to the press release of the Terma group, the Danish Ministry of Defense has initiated a project to develop a new type of ships. As noted, this is a "political decision", according to which only Danish companies will participate in their development.
On December 6, the heads of three Danish companies (OMT, Pension Danmark and Terma) held a dialogue meeting in Nyborg (Denmark) to clarify the available opportunities within the framework of the project.
The meeting was mediated by the Confederation of the Danish Industrial Association for Defense and Security and Danish Maritime, the business association of Danish manufacturers of marine equipment and ships. The three companies decided to submit a joint proposal for the project initiated by the Ministry of Defense.
Preliminary plans and ideas were discussed at the meeting. As part of the exchange of views, participants had the opportunity to present their own unique competencies and technologies related to the project.
