This was announced by the commander of the district troops, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, during the operational combat training of the Central Military District in the Orenburg region.
"This year, the district's troops received more than 25 thousand modern small arms. Among them are AK-12 submachine guns, upgraded models of silent weapons "Val" and "Vintorez", sniper rifles of various calibers, the latest "Cord" submachine guns and large-caliber machine guns "Utes", - said A.Lapin, noting that the renewal of the weapons fleet affected special purpose units, snipers, peacekeeping units and the Russian military base in Tajikistan, the press service of the Central Military District reports.
