It is assumed that the main armament of the module is an 82-mm mortar mounted on a Drok amphibious self-propelled mortar. The module with a mortar is slightly different from the Droka adopted by the Russian army in the absence of mortars with smoke grenades.
The Russian newest 82-mm self-propelled mortar "Drok" on the chassis of the aircraft-mounted armored vehicle K-4386 "Typhoon-Airborne" is currently undergoing state tests, the completion of which is planned for 2022. The first batch of vehicles has already been sent for testing in the Russian army.
The Drok self-propelled mortar is designed to defeat the enemy's manpower, firepower and lightly armored vehicles, ensuring high mobility and protection of the calculation. Its armament consists of a 7.62-mm machine gun and an 82-mm 2C41 mortar with 40 min ammunition. The minimum firing range is 100 meters, the maximum is 6000 meters, the maximum rate of fire is 12 rounds per minute.
Russian Typhoon-K armored vehicles are available in two versions - based on KamAZ-63968 and KamAZ-63969. The car is a module for 16 people with increased security and patency, capable of withstanding the detonation of an explosive device with a capacity of up to 8 kilograms in TNT equivalent under any wheel and a place under the bottom.
The only combat module that is currently being installed on the Typhoon-K is the remotely controlled combat module "Hunter", created by JSC "Degtyarev Plant" (ZID, part of the holding "High-Precision Complexes" of the Rostec State Corporation) and equipped with a 12.7mm 6P49 "Cord" machine gun. Its tests were completed in 2020, and it is planned to start equipping this Typhoons module in 2021.
