TSAMTO, December 14. Battalion tactical groups of the combined arms army of the Western Military District (ZVO) equipped with the latest sights for small arms 1P63 and 1P29.
The attachments were received as part of the state defense order for armament of motorized rifle and reconnaissance units of the army stationed in the Voronezh, Belgorod, Bryansk and Smolensk regions.
1P63 collimator sights are designed for firing at different times of the day and are used with various modifications of the Kalashnikov assault rifle and light machine guns.
Unlike laser sights, only the shooter sees the sight point. The sight has a double backlight, which does not require special adjustment. It is especially useful when performing operations in cramped rooms where it is impossible to capture the target with both eyes.
The next batch has more than 1.3 thousand items of armament acquisition.
The 1P63 collimator sight provides convenience and simplicity of aiming, which allows in dynamic combat, as well as in conditions of limited time for firing from unstable positions when firing from automatic weapons, to significantly increase the effectiveness of shooting small arms by reducing the aiming time and aiming errors.
Aiming is carried out according to the sighting sign. The shape and color of the sighting sign in the daytime is a triangle, two horizontal strokes and one vertical stroke of white, and at night - two horizontal strokes and one vertical stroke of green, the press service of the Western Military District reports.
