According to the CEO of Rostec, this decision will significantly increase the capabilities of the device
MOSCOW, December 14. /tass/. A new ground control point is being created for the S-70 Hunter drone. This was announced by the General Director of Rostec State Corporation Sergey Chemezov.
"In addition, a new ground control point is being created for the drone, designed taking into account the requirements of the military," the press service of the state corporation quotes Chemezov.
According to him, this solution, as well as the creation of a flat nozzle, will significantly increase the capabilities of the drone. "The technologies developed on the prototypes will be used in the creation of other promising aviation complexes - both manned and unmanned," Chemezov stressed.
Earlier, the Kronshtadt JSC enterprise reported that they were developing a unified ground control point for medium- and heavy-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
As noted in the Kronstadt company, the new ground control center will be able to be used to control UAVs anywhere in the world.
Developed in the Sukhoi Design Bureau, the S-70 Hunter drone is made according to the "flying wing" scheme using stealth technology, which reduces its radar visibility. According to open sources, the take-off weight of the device is up to 20 tons, the maximum flight speed is about 1 thousand km / h. Serial deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2024. The Hunter took to the air for the first time on August 3, 2019, the flight lasted more than 20 minutes under the control of an operator. On September 27, 2019, the UAV performed a flight together with the Su-57 fighter.
