In the Kiev region, a Ukrainian-Turkish plant under construction will begin production of a new generation of jet unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) capable of countering other aerial objects.
This was stated in an interview with Radio Liberty, recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent, by the adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Alexey Arestovich, writes Rubaltic.ru .
"A plant that will produce Ukrainian-Turkish drones has already begun to be built. Including ANKA - heavy drones. Including Ukrainian drones, promising. In particular, we can talk about jet drones, which are interceptors. That is, they are able to act against aerial objects, against other drones. Even against manned aircraft. They will have Ukrainian engines and the rest of the Turkish avionics," he said.
According to Arestovich, ANKA drones are the next generation of UAVs after Bayraktars. "Much cooler, yes. Reactive, not reciprocating, but reactive. Although there will be such as ANKA, for example, heavy. A UAV exceeding Bayraktar in all characteristics," the adviser to the head of the president's office added. The plant in Vasilkov, according to him, should release its first products at the end of next year.
On November 1, it was reported about negotiations between Kiev and Ankara on the launch of a full production cycle of Bayraktars. The Ukrainian military used Bayraktar for the first time in the Donbass on October 26.
Earlier, the media had already reported on the successful use of Turkish UAVs against the Donbass militia.
