TSAMTO, December 10. A railway echelon with new military equipment – BTR-82A armored personnel carriers has arrived at the Grodno garrison of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus. The delivery was realized by JSC Arzamas Machine-Building Plant (Russian Federation).
According to the commander of the Western Operational Command, Major General Igor Demidenko, armored personnel carriers entered service with one of the Guards mechanized battalions of the 6th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade. The battalion's specialists have already been trained at the 72nd Guards Joint Training Center for Warrant Officers and Junior Specialists and are ready to perform tasks with new weapons and equipment.
In addition to BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, the armored vehicles of the 6th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade will be replenished with BTR-80K command vehicles, as well as armored medical vehicles, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus reports.
