MOSCOW, December 9. /tass/. The International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2022" will be held in August, more than 1.5 thousand Russian enterprises have already been invited to participate in its work, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Valery Gerasimov said.
"More than 1.5 thousand enterprises and organizations of the domestic industry have already been invited to the next forum, as well as the invitation of the heads of defense departments, delegations of foreign states and enterprises has been organized," Gerasimov said on Thursday at a briefing before the military attaches of foreign states.
According to the main indicators, the forum "consistently confirms its global recognition as one of the leading exhibitions of weapons, military and special equipment, as well as an authoritative platform for the development and strengthening of international military and military-technical cooperation," Gerasimov said.
The head of the General Staff added that, as in the current year, the MVTF will be synchronized in time with the Army International Games. "Next August, it is planned to hold the next Army International Games. As this year, they will be held simultaneously with the International Military-Technical Forum. The opening ceremony of the two events will be held in the Patriot Park," Gerasimov said.
At the previous forum "Army-2021", about 1,500 enterprises and organizations spoke, which presented over 28 thousand samples of military and dual-use products. It was also attended by delegations from 117 foreign countries, of which 36 were high-level. The total number of representatives of foreign military departments exceeded 500 people. A total of 87 bilateral meetings were held with foreign partners.
