In Russia, they once again started talking about the beginning of state tests of the self-propelled gun "Coalition-SV". Yesterday, on December 6, the Izvestia newspaper reported that the Defense Ministry has already approved a plan for testing a promising self-propelled artillery installation.
According to the new deadlines, it is planned to complete the state tests by September 30, 2022. Also, by the end of next year, the self-propelled gun is planned to be officially adopted.

A pre-production batch of ten "Coalition-SV" installations within the framework of experimental military operation was tested in the 1st Tank Army of the Western Military District. In total, within the framework of the Coalition-SV project, several products were created, including a transport loading machine (TZM). The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation indicates that it has already passed state tests.
The contract for the supply of new self-propelled guns was signed back in 2017. Then it was reported that state tests should be completed in 2019. In 2020, the Coalition-SV was supposed to go into mass production, but later it became known about a significant shift in these deadlines.
The self-propelled howitzer 2S35 "Coalition-SV" was developed in the period from 2002 to 2013 at the Central Research Institute "Burevestnik". Prototypes of self-propelled "Coalition" on tracked chassis were first shown in 2015 at the Moscow parade in honor of the 70th anniversary of Victory. The vehicle is armed with a rifled 152-mm 2A88 gun, capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 70 km. One of the key features of the Coalition is the capsule cabin, which houses the crew (driver, gunner and commander). As in the Armata tank, the cabin is separated from the ammunition, which allows the crew to leave the car in an emergency situation. At the same time, the tower in which the gun is located is uninhabited. It is also known about the development of a wheeled version of the self-propelled gun "Coalition-SV".
