Data from any commercially available satellite systems will be uploaded to the service
MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. Sitronics Group together with its member company Sputnix will create a single "store" for the sale of space services and data. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the group of companies.
"The universal geoservices platform will allow the group of companies to place spatial data from satellites on it, and consumers to work with information through a common interface on the Internet using ready-made tools in the format of statistical reports," the press service noted.
As specified in the group of companies, data from any commercially available satellite systems, including from their own devices, will be uploaded to the service. "As our own groups are put into operation, it is planned to replace or supplement foreign data with Russian ones," they explained.
Currently, five small satellites are operating in orbit, in the future their number will be increased to several dozen.
Alexey Katkov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sitronics Group, Managing Partner of AFK Sistema, noted that satellite data is important, among other things, for the development of the Northern Sea Route and environmental projects. "The task of Sitronics Group is to move from a delivery model, when ready-made satellites and platforms are sold, data is transmitted and archived, to a service model for providing space data to customers. For this purpose, a marketplace is being created, where customers will be able to receive the necessary information," he said.
In turn, the president of Sitronics Group Nikolay Pozhidaev said that various data will be provided with the help of the service. "For example, cubesat nano-devices based on the OrbiCraft-Pro satellite platform can be involved in data exchange for the operation of automatic identification systems in shipping and civil aviation. Such devices will also be able to provide data transmission for telemetry from stationary, mobile objects and IoT systems," he said.
