The radical Taliban movement (banned in the OF), which seized power in Afghanistan in mid-August, was able to return several planes and helicopters hijacked by Afghan pilots to neighboring countries.
This was stated by the commander of the Taliban forces in the northern Afghan province of Balkh Attaullah Omari (Attaullah Omari), TOLOnews reports.
According to him, several units of aircraft have already been transported to Afghanistan in coordination with an unnamed country.
Recall that after the Taliban captured Kabul and the largest city in the north of Afghanistan, Mazar-I-Sharif, many Afghan pilots hijacked their cars to the territory of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
According to Ziul-Haq Assim, commander of the Taliban air force in Balkh, his subordinates were able to repair and return one aircraft to service, writes Fergana news.
"The plane was broken, and it should have been sent to Dubai for repairs... but our engineers and maintenance specialists repaired it," Assim said.
