KUBINKA /Moscow region/, December 5. /tass/. The millionth participant joined the ranks of the Unarmia movement at a solemn ceremony at the walls of the Memorial Road museum complex in Kubinka, a TASS correspondent reports.
A resident of Podolsk, Arseny Babashov, became the millionth participant in the movement. Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation - Head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Hero of Russia, Colonel-General Gennady Zhidko took the solemn oath of the yunarmeyets from him.
"I congratulate you on joining the ranks of the All-Russian military-patriotic movement "Yunarmiya". Created at the initiative of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Hero of Russia, Army General Shoigu, our movement continues to grow," the deputy minister said.
As Nikita Nagorny, the chief of the General Staff of the "Unarmia" and Olympic champion, who also took part in the event, noted, the oath of the Unarmee was taken not only in front of their comrades, but also in the face of history itself and the memory of its glorious warriors. "I assure you, this is just the beginning. The country has someone to be proud of," he commented on the entry into the movement of the millionth unarmee.
"The very ceremony of joining the ranks of the "Unarmia" was an extremely exciting and important event, I was proud to be part of the movement. Now, a sense of great responsibility has been added to this, because it turns out that I am the millionth Unarmee. I will carry this high title with honor and pride," Arseny Babashov himself shared his impressions.
The All-Russian children's and youth military-patriotic movement "Yunarmiya" was created in 2016 on the initiative of the Ministry of Defense and with the support of the President of Russia. The main task of the movement is patriotic education, as well as physical, intellectual and social development of young people.
