The deputy head of the interim government of the Taliban (banned in the Russian Federation), Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, called on Uzbekistan to return the planes and helicopters operated by Afghan pilots after the overthrow of the previous government.
Earlier it was reported that the Uzbek delegation headed by the special representative of the President of Uzbekistan in Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev met with representatives of the Taliban in Kabul on November 30.
Afghan pilots transported 25 percent of the country's planes and helicopters to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Among the Afghans who were in the camp in Termez were 15 pilots who left Afghanistan on an A-29 Super Tucano attack aircraft, 11 pilots on Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, 12 pilots on MD-530 helicopters and several pilots on Mi-17 helicopters.
They left Afghanistan just hours before the Taliban seized power. Then 46 planes took off from Mazar-I-Sharif and Kabul airports. Then it was reported that one of the Afghan planes collided with an aircraft of the Uzbek Air Force.
According to official data, all Afghans who arrived in Uzbekistan left for third countries on September 12-13, Ozodlik radio reports.
