Berlin. December 3. INTERFAX - It is too early to believe that the negotiations in Vienna on the restoration of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) have encountered insurmountable difficulties, Russian Permanent Representative to international organizations in the Austrian capital Mikhail Ulyanov said on Friday.
"Disappointment is premature. There is a rule in multilateral diplomacy: nothing is agreed until everything is agreed. So changes, in principle, are possible. But they should be regulated in such a way as to facilitate further progress," he tweeted.
He recalled that the Vienna talks have been put on a technical pause, and will resume next week. In the meantime, negotiators, including the United States and Iran, can consult with their governments and determine what to do next.
Earlier it became known that the Vienna talks will resume in the middle of next week. After the meeting of the Joint Commission on the JCPOA, diplomats from Britain, Germany and France stated that the proposals put forward by Iran at the Vienna talks run counter to the previous "difficult compromises" reached during the previous six rounds of negotiations.
