Tank units of the Polish army will receive Abrams M1A2SEPv3 next year. We are talking about 28 cars. Earlier it was reported that a group of military personnel from this state is in the United States, where they are being trained in the operation and combat use of such equipment.
In total, it is expected that about 250 tanks and more than 30 pieces of support equipment, including M88A2 Hercules armored recovery vehicles, will be delivered to Poland within three years.
Most of the samples are planned to be concentrated in the eighteenth mechanized division. Some of them will be sent to training units.
According to some reports, the Bumar-Labedy plant will also organize the production of another five hundred M1A2SEPv3. They are going to be assembled from various components supplied from overseas from 2025 to 2030.
As a result of the successful implementation of such plans, it is planned to replace all obsolete Soviet T-72M1 and more modern RT-91 used in the troops.
At the same time, they are not going to completely write off the equipment of the "T" family, it will be maintained in a combat-ready state at storage bases.
As for the German Leopard 2, there are no plans to carry out their expensive deep modernization yet. Therefore, it is possible that after the full development of the resource, these tanks will also be replaced with Abrams of new batches. Over time, they should become the main combat vehicles of the Polish armed forces.
