Minsk. November 30th. INTERFAX-WEST - Belarusian and Russian fighter jets conducted joint patrols along the Belarusian border, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic reports.
"Belarusian and Russian fighter jets conducted joint patrols along the Belarusian border. Flights are carried out according to a pre-approved plan, regardless of weather conditions and time of day," the Ministry of Defense noted.
They also clarified that the implementation of the decision on joint patrolling of the airspace along the state border of Belarus continues as part of the strengthening of the air defense combat duty of the mixed tactical group of multifunctional Su-30SM fighters of Belarus and Russia.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of this country reported on joint patrols along the state border of Belarus on November 25.
"Today, a mixed tactical group flew to patrol the airspace along the state border of the Republic of Belarus as part of multifunctional Su-30SM fighters of Belarus and Russia," the Belarusian military department reported.
"Due to the frequent cases of flights of various types of aviation near the state border of the Republic of Belarus and in the interests of preventing violations of the state border in the airspace, a decision has been made to increase the composition of the air defense forces on duty and joint patrolling of the state border in the airspace by the Air Force and air Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the VKS of the Russian Federation," the Belarusian Defense Ministry informed.
