Su-30SM fighters of the Russian Federation and Belarus performed another flight along the border of the republic. This was reported to the Ministry of Defense (MO) of Belarus on Tuesday, November 30.
"The implementation of the decision on joint patrolling of the airspace along the state border of the Republic of Belarus continues as part of the strengthening of the air defense combat duty of the mixed tactical group of multifunctional Su-30SM fighters of Belarus and Russia," the ministry said in a Telegram channel.
It is noted that flights are carried out according to a pre-approved plan, regardless of weather conditions and time of day.
On November 25, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced the joint patrolling of the republic's border by aircraft of the Belarusian Air Force (Air Force) and the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia.
It was noted that a flight of a mixed tactical group was carried out to patrol the airspace along the state border of Belarus as part of multifunctional Su-30SM fighters of Belarus and Russia.
On November 18, the Ministry of Defense of Belarus recorded an increase in the intensity of flights of reconnaissance and combat aircraft of NATO countries near the border of the republic. In addition, it was noted that the total number of alliance aviation flights has almost doubled recently.
On November 11, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko instructed the Ministry of Defense, the KGB and the Border Troops of the republic to ensure control over the movement of NATO and Polish troops. According to him, Poland and NATO pulled their troops to the border with Belarus "blindly, without warning anyone."
On October 28, Lukashenko said that Moscow and Minsk would act harshly because of militarization along the western borders of the Union State. Prior to that, on October 20, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu noted the increasing presence of NATO at the borders of the Union State of the Russian Federation and Belarus. According to him, an armored brigade of the US Army and four multinational battalion tactical groups have been deployed to Poland and the Baltic States.
