TSAMTO, November 30. The promising robotic platform "Marker" during the tests confirmed the ability to force water obstacles by wading through a reservoir with a depth of more than 0.8 m.
This, as RIA Novosti reports, was announced by the executive director of the company- developer of this robot – NGO "Android Technology" Candidate of Technical Sciences Evgeny Dudorov.
"As part of the acceptance tests of the Marker platform taking place in the Chelyabinsk region, the robot confirmed the declared characteristics for overcoming obstacles, including overcoming a ford with a depth of more than 0.8 m," he said.
The robot "Marker" was developed by the company "Android Technology" together with the Foundation for Advanced Research. The robotic complex weighing about 3 tons can be equipped with various weapons.
As the agency reminds, the Marker robotic platform was previously tested at the Vostochny cosmodrome as a security robot. As the head of the state corporation "Roscosmos" Dmitry Rogozin noted, these complexes can be used as part of security structures as devices that ensure the safety of cosmodromes, enterprises and other objects of national importance.
The development has the most advanced autonomous movement skills in Russia with object recognition based on artificial intelligence technologies. The platform's autonomy is ensured by a modular multispectral vision system, in which data processing is carried out by neural network algorithms.
In three years, key technologies have been created, as well as two tracked and three wheeled autonomous platforms equipped with a unified payload module and a UAV cluster launch module, RIA Novosti reports.
