The International Exhibition Egypt Defense Expo 2021 has started its work in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. At this largest weapons forum on the African continent, Uralvagonzavod (part of the UVZ Concern is part of the Rostec State Corporation) will introduce specialists and guests to its modern developments - the T-90MS main battle tank and the BMPT combat support vehicle. This is reported by the press service of the enterprise.
The "Nineties" have already managed to prove themselves well as effective combat vehicles capable of operating in mountains and sandy deserts, where the summer daytime temperature reaches +45-50 0C, and even frosts occur in the winter months.
The T-90MS has a high combat effectiveness, significantly superior to previous models, and the modular design makes it possible to improve existing characteristics in the future during upgrades. The BMPT is based on the T-90. It can counteract all threats arising on the battlefield, for example, to hit anti-tank weapons and enemy manpower.
UVZ tanks are familiar to the military of a number of Middle Eastern states, some of them already operate the T-90, which is why repair and modernization issues are so important.
