TSAMTO, November 29. After the presentation by the Minsk Plant of wheeled Tractors of the novelty of the 2021 season – the V-2 MZKT-690003 (8x8) armored personnel carrier – planned research tests of the combat vehicle began in September.
According to the results of the tests, positive results were obtained both when the APC was moving on land and afloat.
The MZKT-690003 (8x8) armored personnel carrier is designed to transport personnel to the place of execution of a combat mission, its fire support in combat, protection from destruction by small arms and explosive devices, destruction of enemy forces, anti-tank weapons, lightly armored vehicles and tanks, as well as low-speed enemy air targets.
The armored personnel carrier has an all-welded armored hull with a ramp in the aft part and is equipped with a BIUS, a central heating system, a Run-Flat, a filter ventilation system, a fire extinguishing system, smoke removal, a video surveillance system, a self-pulling winch.
The armored personnel carrier weighing 20 tons has ballistic protection Br4, mine protection STANAG 4569 Level 2a /2b, clearance 520 mm, can move through water swimming at a speed of 10 km / h and up to 110 km / h on land.
The product is equipped with a 550 hp engine, automatic transmission, forced locking of differentials, diesel generator set.
The V-2 APC was created taking into account all the latest requirements for modern armored combat vehicles, and is a universal platform on which uninhabited combat modules with various types of weapons can be mounted.
Already in the basic configuration, a sufficiently high level of characteristics was achieved. In addition, a certain reserve has been created for subsequent upgrades. The car has a reserve for carrying capacity, which will allow in the future, as necessary, to equip the APC with additional equipment and weapons.
The all-wheel drive armored combat vehicle is equipped with water-jet propellers that ensure the forcing of rivers and other water obstacles.
Currently, tactical and technical tasks have been agreed, which provide for the development of two modifications of a combat vehicle for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
It is planned that within two years the products will undergo a full range of tests and will be adopted by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
