NEW YORK, November 29. /tass/. The American company SpaceX plans to launch 53 more mini-satellites into orbit for its Starlink network on December 2. This was reported on Sunday by a specialized portal Spaceflightnow.com .

The launch of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle from the Cape Canaveral cosmodrome in Florida is scheduled for 18:20 on December 1, US East Coast time (02:20 Moscow time on December 2). On November 13, the company also delivered 53 satellites into orbit.

The Starlink network is designed to provide Internet access by deploying a large number of devices weighing 260 kg. According to SpaceX, the launch of a total of 11 thousand satellites and their commissioning will cost $ 10 billion. According to the company, it will be able to provide broadband Internet access at a speed of 1 gigabit per second, which corresponds to the 5G standard.

Since May 2019, SpaceX has already put more than 1.8 thousand satellites into orbit.
