Moscow. November 29. INTERFAX - The Russian Aerospace Forces in 2021 found about 3,400 foreign military aircraft near the Russian borders, said Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces Andrei Yudin.
"This year, about 3,400 aircraft of the armed forces of foreign states were detected near the borders of the Russian Federation, more than 110 launches of ballistic missiles and space rockets were carried out, more than 1,500 foreign spacecraft were put into orbit, as well as about 250 orbital maneuvers (orbit corrections) of domestic and foreign satellites were carried out, 15 launches of space rockets were provided, 4 of them were prepared and conducted by combat calculations of the Plesetsk cosmodrome," Yudin said in an interview with the official newspaper of the Russian Defense Ministry Krasnaya Zvezda.
According to the deputy head of the committee, in order to "prevent violations of the state border and other dangerous military activities near the borders of the Russian Federation, more than 100 aircraft lifts from the fighter aviation of the VKS were carried out."
"Violations of the state border of the Russian Federation were not allowed, the forces on duty coped with the tasks set," Yudin noted.
