"I believe that the whole world should be interested in space, because miracles are born only there," Rogozin said at the State Kremlin Palace before the ceremony of awarding the VII All-Russian Prize "For Loyalty to Science."
According to the head of the state corporation, it is impossible to make space popular in the country if there is no real work on the development of space activities. "The presence of space activity in the country indicates the presence of intelligence and the desire to develop it. The popularization of space activities is the popularization of science and the most advanced technologies," he stressed.
Now the Russian cosmonautics, Rogozin recalled, is on the verge of opening the lunar and Martian programs, which begin next year. "Is it really not interesting to our population? It's incredibly interesting," the head of the state corporation said.
The award "For Loyalty to Science" is awarded annually. The participants can be journalists covering the topic of Russian science, popularizers of science, scientists and business representatives who have made a significant contribution to supporting the prestige of professional scientific activity and popularization of domestic scientific achievements. The applications submitted for the award are evaluated by the expert council, which includes scientists, journalists who widely cover scientific topics, representatives of state authorities, private foundations, companies, non-profit organizations, universities, research institutes.
