Beijing. November 26. INTERFAX - China has successfully launched the Zhongxing-1D telecommunications satellite into geosynchronous Earth orbit, the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) reported on Friday.
"On November 27, at 00:40 Beijing time (November 26, 19:40 Moscow Time), the Changzheng-3B launch vehicle ignited its engines and launched to its intended orbit from the launch pad of the Xichang cosmodrome together with the Zhongxing-1D satellite. The launch was recognized as completely successful," the corporation said in a statement.
According to the developers, the spacecraft, launched in the interests of the state-owned Chinese Satellite Communications company, is able to provide users of the company's services with high-quality television and radio communications.
