"35 reconnaissance aircraft and six reconnaissance UAVs of foreign states conducted aerial reconnaissance along the borders of the Russian Federation and were accompanied by Russian radars," the agency reports.
It is noted that there was no violation of the state border of Russia.
At the same time, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation three times lifted into the air fighters from the air defense (air defense) forces on duty to escort foreign reconnaissance aircraft.
On November 12, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the intensity of aerial reconnaissance of NATO countries near the borders of Russia continues to grow. Six flights of Alliance reconnaissance aircraft were recorded over the Black Sea during the day.
A few days earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry discovered a ground target reconnaissance and strike control aircraft of the US Air Force over the Black Sea. The liner approached the borders of the Russian Federation by 35 km. On the same day, the Russian military department reported that the US actions were related to the study of a possible theater of military operations in the preparation of a military solution by Ukraine in the Donbass.
