Roscosmos indicated that the ship's mission has now ended
MOSCOW, November 25. /tass/. The Progress MS-17 spacecraft has been successfully de-orbited and sunk in a non-navigable area of the Pacific Ocean. This was announced on Thursday on Twitter by the state corporation "Roscosmos".
"The Progress MS-17 cargo ship, which undocked from the ISS this afternoon, was flooded in the non-navigable part of the Pacific Ocean," the report says.
"The fragments of the ship that were not burned in the dense layers of the atmosphere (there are not so many of them) fell into the cemetery of spacecraft," Roscosmos noted, adding that now the ship's mission has ended.
Earlier, Progress MS-17 undocked from the hermoadapter of the Nauka module together with a transition spacer that provided docking of the Soyuz MS and Progress MS transport ships. Now the multipurpose laboratory module is ready for the docking of the Progress M-UM cargo ship module, which is scheduled for November 26 at 18:26 Moscow time.
