Belarus announces joint border patrol with Russia

The decision to increase the air defense forces on duty was made on Thursday by the military department of Belarus. In addition, the press service of the Ministry of Defense clarifies, the air patrol program has also been adjusted together with the VKS of the Union State.

The ministry explained that "due to the frequent cases of flights of various types of aviation near the state border of Belarus, as well as in the interests of preventing its violation, it was decided to increase the composition of the air defense forces on duty, and joint patrolling of the state border by the Air Force and air Defense forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus and the VKS of the Russian Federation."

On November 25, the ministry clarified, a mixed tactical group has already flown to patrol the airspace along the border of Belarus as part of multifunctional Su-30SM fighters of Belarus and Russia.
