Rosoboronexport plans to bring heavy attack drones and kamikaze drones to foreign arms markets. This was announced on November 25 by the company's CEO Alexander Mikheev on the eve of the international arms exhibition EDEX 2021.

"Rosoboronexport notes a serious increase in the interest of foreign partners in Russian-made unmanned aerial vehicles. In 2021, the Orion-E reconnaissance and strike aircraft was brought to the foreign market and now we are conducting more than 10 contract negotiations on it," Mikheev said.

He also added that this year the company has sold abroad more than 50 Orlan-10E drones.

"We are preparing to launch new models in the near future, including kamikaze drones and heavy attack vehicles," the head of Rosoboronexport said.

On October 29, it was reported that the Russian Navy will receive a kamikaze UAV. Drones are planned to be used for strikes against sea and land targets. In particular, such products are effective against light boats and motorboats — they are actively used by saboteurs and various terrorist organizations. Also, barrage ammunition is indispensable with the support of marines and special forces operating on shore.

In June, it became known that Russia began to promote its first export strike drone Orion-E to the world arms market.

Rosoboronexport reported that "the Orion unmanned complex really has great export potential and interest in it is aroused due to its unique tactical and technical characteristics and combat capabilities."

The Orion-E strike drone is designed to conduct aerial reconnaissance in daylight and dark, in simple and difficult weather conditions, as well as to determine the coordinates of objects and transmit relevant data. It is equipped with a universal complex of aviation means of destruction, which make it possible to destroy both stationary and moving ground targets, armored vehicles, vehicles and enemy manpower with high efficiency. The maximum take-off weight of the Orion-E is 1 ton, and the maximum payload weight is 200 kg. At the same time, the duration of the flight with a standard load is 24 hours, the horizontal flight speed is up to 200 km / h.
