"On November 24, from 02:28 to 02:38, six F-16 tactical fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force from Lebanese airspace struck twelve guided missiles at targets in the Syrian province of Homs," he said at a briefing.
According to him, the Syrian air defense from the Russian-made Buk-M2E and Pantsir-S complexes destroyed ten missiles.
The airstrike was announced earlier on Wednesday. It was also reported that most of the missiles were shot down by the Syrian air defense forces.
Later, the SANA news agency clarified that as a result of airstrikes on the Syrian town of Holmes, two civilians were killed, another civilian and six Syrian soldiers were injured.
