Two US Island class patrol boats arrived in Odessa. They were delivered by the transport vessel Ocean Grand, which anchored in the Ukrainian port.

According to the latest data, patrol boats are "moored" from the vessel. It is still unclear when exactly the Ukrainian side will start their operation, REN TV reports on November 23.

It is specified that the American boats left for Odessa from Baltimore on Monday, November 8. The vessels decommissioned in the USA were at the disposal of the Coast Guard of America.

The American Embassy stated that these boats "will help strengthen the maritime security of Ukraine," as well as increase the operational compatibility of the Ukrainian Navy with NATO.

These ships are part of the military assistance that the White House has been providing to Kiev since 2014.

On November 23, it was reported that the administration of US President Joe Biden is considering an option in which Washington will send military advisers to Ukraine, as well as new equipment, including weapons.

CNN TV channel, citing sources, clarified that the corresponding decision may be made due to the concerns of the States associated with Russia. American media are spreading information about the alleged impending invasion of Russian forces in Ukraine. It was claimed that Moscow allegedly called up tens of thousands of reservists, which was unprecedented for post-Soviet times.

It was reported that the Pentagon may transfer to Ukraine some of the weapons that were planned to be provided to the Afghan authorities before the fall of the government in the summer of 2021. In particular, the option with helicopters is being considered.

On the same day, White House press Secretary Jen Psaki declined to comment on the information about sending weapons to Ukraine.

On the same day, sources familiar with the situation told Izvestia that in recent days the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have twice tried to use weapons similar to Javelin anti-tank missiles on the front line.
