TSAMTO, November 23. The Kronstadt company took part in a major foreign air show for the first time: as part of the Dubai Airshow 2021 in the UAE, representatives of the countries of the Persian Gulf and North Africa got acquainted with the company's products.
A full-size mock-up of the flagship Orion-E long-duration unmanned aerial vehicle in a reconnaissance and strike version with a satellite communication system was presented at the static exposition. The concept of an automated operator's workplace for controlling a group of semi-autonomous drones was presented at the stand, and models of the entire line of unmanned aerial vehicles of Kronstadt JSC were also shown: Sirius, Helios-RLD, Thunder and unmanned helicopters.
Representatives of the Kronstadt Company held a number of presentations of the Orion-E unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) complex for new customers and dozens of joint negotiations with partners with Rosoboronexport JSC.
The greatest interest in the company's products was expressed by representatives of the Persian Gulf countries, a number of countries in Africa and Southeast Asia. In addition, representatives of the industry of the Middle East countries showed a desire to participate in cooperation in the production of unmanned complexes developed by Kronstadt JSC.
"It can be stated that the Middle East is the most promising market for the supply of Orion-E KBLA. Customers in this region place increased demands on unmanned systems – we are able to meet them and understand that this will maximize the competitiveness of Russian unmanned technologies on the world market and will enable our country to occupy a worthy niche in the global export of UAVs," said Sergey Bogatikov, CEO of Kronstadt JSC.
In addition to foreign delegations, representatives of the Russian side also visited the Kronstadt exposition, including Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), Alexey Krivoruchko, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, and the leadership of the largest Russian aviation holdings.
Sergey Bogatikov, General Director of Kronstadt JSC, for the first time presented to the guests the workplace of a new generation UAV operator (ARM). This is the next step in the autonomization of Russian drones and one of the key areas for further modernization of the Orion-E complex.
"If two operators are needed for remotely controlled UAVs, one for automatically controlled ones, then for semi-autonomous UAVs we can expect that one operator will be able to control the group," S. Bogatikov is quoted by the press service of Kronstadt JSC.
