Russia will deliver about 100 military and 85 civilian helicopters to customers in 2021. This was announced on Tuesday, November 23, by Andrey Boginsky, CEO of the Russian Helicopters holding company.
"Everything that we have uploaded to the plan, in our opinion, will be fulfilled. This is about 180-185 helicopters this year. All these helicopters are contracted. About 100 military helicopters. Accordingly, 85 are civilians," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He also noted that the domestic market still prevails in the civilian segment: These are 33 helicopters for the National Air Ambulance Service, and helicopters for the State Transport Leasing Company (STLC). A decision is also expected on the tender for the purchase of helicopters for Avialesookhrana.
"For military equipment, the ratio of exports and GOZ is about 60 to 40," Boginsky said.
On November 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia has always been proud of the domestic helicopter industry. In turn, Boginsky pointed out that the Russian Federation can produce about 360 helicopters a year.
During the meeting with Putin, Boginsky also spoke about the contract signed by Russia with China for participation in the creation of a Chinese heavy helicopter. The Russian Federation will develop a transmission, a steering screw and an anti-icing system of the new car. The project is designed for 13 years.
Russian Helicopters is one of the world leaders in the helicopter industry, the only developer and manufacturer of helicopters in Russia. It is part of the Rostec State Corporation. The holding was established in 2007, but the main enterprises have more than 70 years of history.
