Moscow. November 23. INTERFAX - Middle Eastern countries have shown interest in the joint production of drones developed by Kronstadt, the company's press service reported.
"The company's products are most interesting to representatives of the Persian Gulf countries, a number of countries in Africa and Southeast Asia. In addition, representatives of the industry of the Middle East countries have shown a desire to participate in cooperation in the production of unmanned complexes developed by Kronstadt JSC," the press service said following the results of the Dubai Airshow-2021 held in the UAE.
At the exhibition, Kronstadt for the first time showed abroad a full-size mock-up of the Orion-E long-duration reconnaissance and strike UAV with a satellite communication system, models of new strike drones - Sirius and Thunder, as well as the Helios-RLD radar patrol drone.
During the Dubai Airshow-2021, the company held several presentations of the Orion-E drone for new customers and "dozens of joint negotiations with partners with Rosoboronexport JSC," the press service said.
"It can be stated that the Middle East is the most promising market for Orion-E supplies. Customers in this region place increased demands on unmanned complexes - we are able to meet them and understand that this will maximize the competitiveness of Russian unmanned technologies on the world market and will enable our country to occupy a worthy niche in the global export of UAVs," said Sergey Bogatikov, CEO of Kronstadt, quoted in the press service.
