Washington. November 23. INTERFAX - The US Navy reported that on Tuesday the American destroyer Milius with Arleigh Burke-class guided missiles made a passage through the Taiwan Strait.
The report says that it was a "normal transit through the Taiwan Strait" in international waters, carried out in accordance with international law.
"The ship's transit through the Taiwan Strait demonstrates the US commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific region. The United States military flies, swims and operates wherever international law allows," the Navy stressed.
