State tests of the latest Russian armored vehicles on the Armata platform are planned to be completed next year. This was announced by the acting head of the Main Armored Vehicle Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexander Shestakov.

"Every year at the Army forum, samples of the T-14 tank, the T-15 infantry fighting vehicle and the T-16 armored repair and evacuation vehicle, which are being created as part of the Armata project, are demonstrated. This year, he reached, as they say, the finish line. The completion of its state tests is scheduled for 2022," Krasnaya Zvezda quoted the general.

According to Shestakov, modern requirements are such that infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers are transformed into a universal combat vehicle. "Now it must not only transport military personnel and support them with fire in battle, but also fight the enemy's armored vehicles, with its low-flying aerial targets," the general said. - Unlike its predecessors, the car must effectively solve this problem not only from the spot, but also in motion, including afloat. At the same time, the requirement for remote control of weapons prevails." For the complex solution of fire tasks, combat vehicles with an uninhabited combat module are being created.

It is known from open sources that the special layout of the tank ensures the placement of a crew of three people in the front of the least vulnerable part of the tank. More precisely, in a protected inhabited control room, isolated from fuel and ammunition. The remote-controlled uninhabited turret is equipped with a 125 mm smoothbore gun, a 12.7 mm twin machine gun and a 57 mm automatic grenade launcher. The modular system allows you to replace the armament and equipment of the tank depending on the tasks.

The T-14 has a new generation of dynamic protection and a set of active protection equipment that can shoot down projectiles and missiles flying into the car. The tank on the Armata platform weighs about 55 tons. Its length is 10.8 meters, width - 3.9 meters, height - 3.3 meters. The engine power is 1500 hp. The maximum speed on the highway can reach 75 - 80 km / h. And the power reserve is 500 km .
