According to him, within the framework of the Dubai Airshow 2021 international exhibition, which took place from November 14 to 18 in the UAE, there was a high interest of foreign customers in the latest Russian attack helicopters Ka-52M and Mi-28NE. One of the main novelties of the Dubai Airshow 2021 held in the UAE was the international premiere of the Mi-28NE attack helicopter. Previously, this modification of the "Night Hunter" has never been shown at foreign exhibitions. Also, for the first time, the Ka-52 became a participant in the Dubai Airshow. As part of the air show, the vehicles participated in a flight program, during which they demonstrated elements of complex aerobatics and maneuvering used in real air combat.
The Ka-52M is an upgraded version of the Ka-52 Alligator helicopter. According to the developers, the Ka-52M missile armament is unified with the armament of another newest Mi-28NM attack helicopter, which significantly increased the range of hitting targets. The Ka-52M also received a new radar system with an active phased array antenna and a guided missile with an extended range. The first flight of the prototype of the upgraded helicopter took place on August 10, 2020.
The Mi-28NE helicopter is designed to destroy aerial targets, tanks and armored vehicles, and the vehicle can also be used for reconnaissance and patrol. The Mi-28NE armament complex includes a 30 mm mobile cannon, three types of anti-tank guided missiles with a range of 6 and 10 kilometers, guided air-to-air missiles, unguided missiles of two types, aerial bombs of up to 500 kg. The rotor blades are capable of withstanding a 30 mm projectile hit. Its high-power engines are 2,400 horsepower each. It has high survivability, the windshield and side windows of the crew cabin are armored. The combat helicopter is able to effectively perform its tasks in a hot climate - it has a new screen-exhaust and dust-proof device installed on it.
