MOSCOW, Nov 19 - RIA Novosti. Rosoboronexport has been negotiating with foreign customers in the Middle East throughout the year on the sale of Russian armored vehicles, including T-90MS tanks, Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev told RIA Novosti at the end of the Dubai Airshow 2021.
"In 2021, Rosoboronexport held consultations with Middle Eastern partners on supply opportunities and other forms of cooperation regarding Russian armored vehicles, including modern Russian T-90MS tanks. Attention to Russian armored vehicles, ATGMs and heavy flamethrower systems has greatly increased due to their excellent performance in real combat conditions in the region," Mikheev said.
According to him, today the T-90MS is the most modern mass-produced Russian main battle tank. It is distinguished by an updated digital fire control system with thermal imaging devices and the ability to work in the hunter-shooter mode, a new dynamic protection complex, including in the onboard projection, an enhanced engine, increased accuracy and reliability of the main armament, as well as the presence of a remote-controlled combat module with machine-gun armament on the roof of the tower.
"These and other advantages of the tank have been brought to the partners of Rosoboronexport in various regions. Negotiations are underway with potential partners," Mikheev said.
