The SONGAR flying machine gun/grenade launcher/mortar will serve in Africa. Yesterday, November 18, the portal defenceturk.net He reported that the Turkish company Asisguard announced the completion of the delivery of drones to one of the African countries.

Also, a new video about the capabilities of the SONGAR drone has been published on the Defense Turk YouTube channel. If earlier it was presented as a flying machine gun, now it is a full-fledged combat system capable of carrying and launching 40-mm grenades, as well as dropping bombs.

SONGAR weighs 25 kg and can operate at a distance of 3 km to 10 km (when using a repeater) from the operator. In addition to cameras, the drone is capable of carrying various weapons. The model adopted by the Turkish army carries a 5.56×45 mm machine gun. The ammunition includes 200 rounds, and high shooting accuracy is achieved through the use of an electronic aiming system and a ballistic calculator.
